Creeksea Place: Hiranya & Peter

After 148 long days…I finally got back to photographing a wedding! And what a wedding it was! It was Hiranya and Peter’s big day at the stunning Creeksea Place, and no worldwide pandemic was going to get in their way.

The guests had arrived, the chairs were out, and the rain had stopped, there was nothing left to do but get married! It was a beautiful, intimate ceremony, surrounded by their nearest and dearest. There were a few tears, stacks of laughs, and one well-behaved dog! It was the perfect ceremony, full of wonderful Sri Lankan traditions. The newlyweds were soon making their way back up the aisle, with beaming smiles from ear to ear.

After a few minutes with guests, we jumped into the group shots, followed by the couple shots. We went for a little walk around the grounds of Creeksea Place and grabbed as many snaps as we could. Hiranya and Peter are big fans of nature and we knew we wanted to include lots of nature in their photos, and they couldn’t have chosen a better venue for this!

After a bit of lunch with their guests and a quick outfit change, we hopped in the car and made our way up the road to Bradwell beach, a place with particularly sentimental meaning to the happy couple. Once we were there we stopped off in the surrounding fields, had a few photos at St. Peter’s (Britain’s oldest chapel!), before we made it the beach…and the mud! Being the nature lovers that they are, Hiranya and Peter took their shoes off and went straight in…absolutely mad, but I’m so glad they did, the photos look great!

A little while later, I left the happy couple with their family and friends to enjoy the rest of their day on the beach. I couldn’t have asked for a better couple and a better wedding to get me back doing what I love to do. It wasn’t conventional, but it was perfect. Thank you so much for having me along guys (as your wedding photographer Essex), big congrats to you both!
