The pre wedding shoot. The engagement shoot. The little shoot before the big shoot. Whatever you wanna call it, here it is.
Look, you hate having your photo taken, I get that, so why would you want to have even more photos taken?! Well, it’s BECAUSE you hate having your photo taken that you should do one.
The last thing I want is for you to be approaching your wedding day anxious or nervous about having your photo taken. There’s enough going on, you don’t need to be thinking about what I’m going to be like to hang out with or what I’ll be asking you to do. A pre wedding shoot gets all of that out of the way.
I know it’s easy for me to say, and you won’t believe me until you’ve done it, but it really is simple stuff. I won’t be asking you to pose like a model, or do anything awkward/cringe/weird. I hate having my photo taken too, so I won’t ask you to do anything that I wouldn’t wanna do!
It’s an informal hour or so, where you pick a place that you like that looks cool, and we just go a walk and have a chat, grabbing a few snaps along the way. It’ll give you a taste of what to expect on the wedding day and (hopefully!) take away all the nerves and anxiety about having your photo taken. And on top of that, you get a bunch of nice new pics to use however you want! Some people like to use them as part of the wedding, on invites or sometimes as part of the centre pieces or order of the day. And some people just want a cool new profile pic for Instagram!
You can have these shoots anywhere you like, but I’d always recommend having them somewhere different from your wedding venue. Just to help make the pics look a little different and seperate them from your wedding pics. Or why not go all out and do what Stef and Marc did and have a shoot abroad?! These guys are always off on a trip somewhere, and they asked me to meet them on one of their European breaks for a little shoot in one of their favourite places; Pula, Croatia. If you’re jetting off somewhere special, give me a shout and we’ll figure it out.
If you’ve got any questions or you’re interested in booking a shoot in, drop me a message.
