Quick answer. NOPE.
I post a lot of couples that look cool, that look like they’re having fun, that look, quite frankly, flippin’ great!
But they’re not models, they’re not faking it, they’re just being themselves on the happiest day of their lives. I promise, there’s no trick to it or fancy posing. I just want you guys to be yourselves, and leave the rest to me.
Sometimes, when people send me an enquiry, they say “we’re hoping you can inject a bit of sass into our day”, and I bloody love this. But I assure you, I’m not going to turn up at your wedding, being sassy, and making the day about me or forcing “fake fun” into the day…that’s not what I mean here. What it means to me is that I’ll bring that edge out of you in your pics. I’ll help bring your personality out, bring that fun to your photos, and take what could be a fairly vanilla or standard photo to something that you guys wanna hang on the wall at home, because you look like the two coolest cats in town.
It really will be simple stuff. Just sitting together in a patch of light with a cool backdrop. Walking towards me holding hands. Just hanging out together having a chat whilst I work around you. That’s it, just be yourselves, leave the rest to me.
There really is no magic to it, you’ve just got to trust the process and know that you’re looking banging. Whoever you end up booking for your photography, trust their vision, their ideas, and their ability to sometimes pull something amazing out of nothing.
Sometimes couples say they want to look really cool and alternative, and that’s great! But what I won’t do is try and make you look like someone else. I want your photos to reflect who you guys are, not a fake or false version of you.
The best compliments I ever get from couples is “you made us look and feel really cool”, or “we didn’t think we could ever look like this”. It’s your wedding day, I want you to feel your absolute best and love looking back at the photos.
Let’s face it, you want better photos than your mates had on their wedding day…and we’re gonna get ‘em! It’s not a competition, but let’s make sure you win anyway
