Right, strap in.
Do you wanna take your socks off now? Or are you gonna let this wedding blow them off for you?!
THIS. WEDDING. HAD. EVERYTHING.
And by everything, I don’t mean “stuff”. Good weddings aren’t good because they have personalised marshmallows or a 50 piece orchestra playing for you as you walk up the aisle. Good weddings are made by the people you invite, and, most importantly, by you two!
So, as you look through this gallery, just remember, these are two of the best people ever who absolutely just went with the flow and jumped in head first into their wedding day. They totally trusted the suppliers they’d booked to do their job, and they let everything just happen around them, which freed them up to have the best day they could…and it was flippin’ banging.
The day started at Rhyse Farm, a new venue for me, and I fell in love with it straight away. Leanne and her gang were getting ready, chilling out, and just living their best lives. Meanwhile, James and the boys were getting suited up and ready to go to the church pub.
After a pint…or two.. The boys made their way to the church, and Leanne was heading there too and was soon arriving in style. They were soon walking back up the aisle with big old grins, walking out of the church and getting absolutely covered in confetti. Not just a bit of confetti, loads of it. Imagine the most amount of confetti you possibly could, now try and double it. Then add a bit more. Loads. LOADS.
After surviving the confetti, we jumped in our cars and headed back to Rhyse Farm. We grabbed a few snaps of the happy couple when they arrived, before sending them off to enjoy the afternoon with their guests. The sun was out, the vibes were good, and everyone was loving life. Perfect.
Whilst the guests went to find their seats and made their way in for dinner, we grabbed a few snaps of Leanne and James before they made their grand entrance…and it was banging. If you want a smoke filled stage for your entrance on your wedding day then you can bloody well have it!
After the speeches and dinner, the sun was just starting to dip, so we made the most of golden hour and grabbed a few more snaps (some of my favourites from the day). These guys were so much fun all day, but especially when it came to their couples shoot. They totally trusted us and just relaxed completely, and when couples can do this it always makes for the best shots.
Before heading in for the first dance, we had a little bit of suprise entertainment. Pole dancing! And she was absolutely amazing (Immys Teaching and Travels – check her out!) We just had time for Leanne and James to jump up and have a quick go before they made their way inside to open up the dance floor.
The dance floor, you won’t be surprised to hear, was f*****g incredible. It was feral. Absolutely mental. And EXACTLY how it should be. Oh and there was even more confetti…obviously. I knew this dance floor was going to be good…but THIS good?!
Whatever you wanna call this wedding (alternative? Rock n roll? Untraditional?), it ultimately was just a perfect reflection of these two. And that’s what every good wedding should be. It should a reflection of you two, and not a fake/false version of you…just because someone else did it on Pinterest once and it got a bunch of ‘likes’ on Instagram. Fill your wedding with your personality and bring the vibe and you’ll have the best day. Just like these guys.
Thanks so much for having me, I had the best day with you guys!
