It was finally time for Olga and Ben’s big day!
Deep in the depths of winter, these two ventured out into Essex to Fennes to say their “I do’s”!
My day started with Olga and her bridal party who were all getting ready in the bridal suite, upstairs at Fennes. Meanwhile, Ben and the groomsmen were arriving downstairs and getting suited and booted. Once the dress was on and the suits were buttoned up, it was time to get married!
After a beautiful ceremony led by a celebrant, to give the ceremony that personal touch, the newlyweds made their way back up the aisle. They spent some time with guests and chatting away whilst I shot lots of candid/documentary wedding photography in the background. Soon, we were braving the cold and having a wander outside to grab some snaps of the happy couple.
These guys were perfect fit for me! They didn’t want the run of the mill photos, and typical cheesy shots that you can get at any old venue. They wanted something editorial, industrial, alternative. Perfect! I love this style of shooting, so we made our way out of the venue and over to the beaten up farm nearby.
We were soon making our way back inside for dinner and speeches. Loads of laughs, loads of love!
Soon, guests were mingling again and evening guests were arriving, just in time for the cake cut and first dance…but not before a quick dress change! The first dance was amazing, choreographed and pretty special, we even got a second run of it at the end of the night! Everyone was soon up dancing, and they didn’t leave that dance floor all night. Olga and Ben came outside for a couple of night time shots and to catch a breather, before heading back inside to cut some shapes on the dance floor.
This was a lot of fun, I loved working with these two! Big congrats guys.
