Celine and Stuart, in Tuscany, with their favourite people. Does it get much better?!
I spent two days with these guys over in Italy and I had an absolute blast. From start to finish, they were the two happiest souls and they brought the best vibes with them to Tuscany.
The wedding was on a Saturday…but first, pizza party on the Friday! I joined these guys at Borgo Petrognano where they were chilling with all of their guests, enjoying the sunset whilst the pizza’s were prepped. After these guys stepped up to make the first couple themselves and put them into the wood fire oven, we slipped away for a few snaps of the happy couple. I love doing a pre-wedding shoot at destination weddings, just for a short time. It’s a nice way to settle the nerves and get you guys ready for the big day. It breaks the ice, gets you used to the camera, and gives you a bunch of extra snaps too! Celine and Stuart smashed their shoot and we had so much fun, I laughed so hard at these guys messing about and I love the shots that we got.
Saturday. The wedding day! The day was here and we were ready to go. Celine and her squad were getting ready in one building, whilst Stuart and his best man got suited and booted next door. The dress was soon on, laces were tied up, and we were ready to go to get this ceremony underway…
Everything was perfect. The rolling hills of Tuscany in the background, a family member leading the ceremony, and that perfect Italian sunshine up above us. We soon had two newlyweds beaming from ear to ear, walking back up the aisle and getting covered in confetti. Perfect.
After some time chilling with guests and a couple of group shots, we went for a quick walk around the venue to grab some snaps. Keeping everything pretty chilled and natural, we just let these guys have fun and be themselves, taking photos as they hung out together. I love photos that represent the couple as they are, and also photos that reflect the energy and vibe of the day. I like to think we did pretty well with that 🙂
We were soon making our way up to dinner and getting ready for speeches. The speeches were funny, heartfelt, uplifting and emotional. Perfectly backdropped by those Tuscan hills as the sun began to set.
Next up, cake! These guys got their chef hats on and started to build their cake, before heading over to the dance floor for their first dance. Once they started dancing…there was no stopping them. They danced and danced and danced and danced. Then they danced a bit more. The only time they stopped was when we found out another venue was having a fireworks display…so we ran across the road for some free fireworks!
Then…back to dancing. I was with these guys until the very end of the night, and they were just as happy and fun at the end of the night as they were at the start of the pizza party the day before. I honestly can’t believe how lucky I am to meet people like Celine and Stuart, and to be trusted to document their wedding days.
I had a blast with them and their guests, thanks so much for having me!
