Caroline and Adam invited me out to join them in France for their epic weekend of celebrations. I was never going to turn that down!
I spent the weekend with these guys and their guests as they partied, celebrated, cried, laughed, and everything in between. On the Friday I made my way across Toulouse to join them at Adam’s family home, where all of the guests were gathering for a catch up and dinner. I mingled, blended into the background, snapped away and documented everything unfolding. After a bit of time I whisked the happy couple away for a few snaps. It’s always a good way to settle the nerves before the big day, to get some snaps out of the way and get used to being in front of the camera, and these two smashed it. I soon left them to it to go and get their beauty sleep and get ready for the big day…
Saturday. Wedding day. Here we go! Back to the family home, which, by the way, is better than most venues I’ve worked at. STUNNING. Caroline and her crew were getting ready together, with the music on and happy vibes, they were soon ready to go. Meanwhile, Adam and the boys were getting suited up in the building next door, debating which tie to wear and which way round cufflinks go on…big life decisions.
The ceremony was soon underway, and it was perfect. Led by a family friend (who I’ve worked with back in the UK, what a small world!), amazing floral designs, and with a backdrop of rolling French hills. It was stunning. These two were soon walking back up the aisle, beaming with smiles, and getting covered in confetti. After some time with guests I snuck these guys away for a few snaps around the grounds, keeping everything pretty natural and candid.
Soon, these guys hopped into a car and made their way to the local town to do the legal bit of their wedding, whilst we all followed in mini buses. But, not before grabbing some shots with the drone of these guys driving away. I love how these shots have come out!
At the town hall, with just a handful of their guests, these guys did the legal thing in a second ceremony, before making our way just up the road to one of their favourite restaurants for dinner and speeches. It was a lovely personal touch to have this place for their wedding dinner, and the guests loved it too.
We were soon back on the mini buses and heading back to the house for cocktail hour at sunset, before making our way into the barn for the dance floor. The band kicked everything off and the night went on to be one of my dance floors of the year, it was unreal! These guys partied hard, and it was so much fun to be a part of.
Sunday rolled around, and there were a few sore heads, but there were even more happy faces. I joined these guys for a final couple of hours as they chilled with their guests for a BBQ and some time at the pool. It was the perfect end to a perfect weekend.
It was such a pleasure to be part of this weekend, and they all made me feel so welcome. Big congrats guys!
